35th St. & Speedway

This is a joint report filed by myself and Chuck Trend

we were leaving to go to practice and John was walking down 34th(?) near Speedway. I think he had just got off work, maybe. he seemed pretty tired. we offered to give him a ride and he said "Sure! Thanks man!" and he hopped-in. even though it was only a s hort distance to his house, he seemed genuninely glad to not have to walk the rest of the way home. I'd give him a seven (out of 10) for politeness. I think that 8 is about the 'most polite' John will ever get, just 'cause he's John (minus two points auto matically), plus it was only a short ride and there wasn't too much of an opportunity for him to get impolite (minus one point). but minus the three point politeness handicap, he couldn't have been more polite - he was a perfect gentleman, the entire way. a real class act! ha ha ha...
